Netflix vs. Redbox
Written by Sherri Hicks
The other day while I was looking into cable packages on http://www.expertsatellite.com/, a commercial came on television letting the public know that the movie Horrible Bosseshad been released on DVD. I was really excited because I had wanted to see this movie for a while, but refused to pay to see it in the theater. There are some movies that I will pay to see when the big screen adds to the impact through action or special effects. However, when it comes to comedies or dramas, I’m fine watching them at home. I had cancelled the DVD portion of my Netflix subscription when the prices increased, so I had to use Redbox. I went to my local grocery store to pick the movie up thinking that they’d surely have it in stock since they have two Redbox machines. I forgot to check online to make sure it was in, so I was very disappointed to find that neither machine had it in stock. I miss Netflix for the convenience, but definitely not for the price.
